In the 20th century,a lady named Nirmala Srivastava from India, often known as Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi by her devotees, took upon her shoulders a task to help & guide people on their path to spiritual realization. She devised a form of yoga called ‘Sahaja Yoga‘,which if learnt & practiced properly, one can progress on his path of awakening. It is interesting to note that Sahaja Yoga gathered attention all over the world before spreading in India. At present this technique is taught for free in over 140 countries of the world & yet I don’t find any Indian talking or even inquiring about it.Very Surprising!

We all have dreams & we all are sure that once our dream is fulfilled,we’ll find true happiness & hence we run after them.Just like a child runs after his toys,a boy runs for a girl he loves,a man runs for his dream job, etc. But once our dreams get fulfilled,we tend to build another one.The happiness lasts temporarily. Then we run after some other dream & keep on running until one day we realize that the source of permanent happiness has to be something different. That day we become a true seeker & embark on our journey in quest of the spirit.

I would love to quote the following words from Shri Mataji which I find very true,
“Spiritual Awakening is a Living process, like the growth of tree from a seed.It is under the control of Nature. It can’t be forced upon by anyone or on anyone.Just as we can’t sit beside the planted seed & order it to grow,in a similar manner we can’t force somebody to realize the Absolute Truth“.

I have a post called exactly that… ‘The Absolute Truth’ from the Vedic shastras. Indeed, a man convinced against his will, is of the same opinion still. Nothing can be forced.
