CHEERS TO EVERY ONE

Although I write for everyone but this one is specially dedicated to people of community ‘Universe is a Thought‘.
I personally do not believe in numbers but what I do believe is in finding different reasons to celebrate life.Life is a journey & each & every part it is to be enjoyed.It has been one month since I began blogging & now the community includes more than 100 thoughtful,mindful,inspiring & loving human souls from different corners of the Earth.

We all are unique in someway or the other but the common feature that links the people of this community is that everyone is doing his/her best to bring love & peace into his/her own life while simultaneously sharing it with many others.
We know that we all come from different nations,caste,religion & every other artificial division man has created for himself in order to separate two humans but we people acknowledge the true nature of consciousness–a level on which we all are same (i.e. human consciousness).

We have certainly realized that the happiness & serenity can not be be found in worldly pleasures.Although it may seem,it can’t be even found in a realization of a dream.The true happiness which brings with itself sheer fulfillment,bliss,supreme joy can only be found in loving unconditionally,helping those in need,acting kind,forgiving our greatest enemies,remaining in a state of gratitude towards everything we see & observe.

We people have become aware that we do not have to wait for the right moment to come in our life,when a expecting person/thing arrives; in order to practice above mentioned qualities.We do it NOW, right NOW, right where we are sitting at this moment.

Among billions of people,100 is a very small number.Since the only way Love knows is to grow,I believe that our community will be further expanded by the inclusion of people who have or will witness the mysterious unfolding of life & who have got the courage to seek the absolute truth.

ANCIENT INDIA vs MODERN INDIA part II

In India,the economic distribution has been extremely poor since many decades.Along with huge population,it remains to be one of the major reasons for unbalance in every aspect of the country.Our neighbor nation,China,which faced similar problems,has made progress in front of our eyes;but we are still lingering in the never ending race of developing nation.

Among 1.2 billion human souls,a staggering 60% of them live below or near the poverty line (unable to earn more than 0.66 US $ per day!).These people do not have access to healthcare & proper education.And so,the knowledge of science & soul remains far away from them,which is an acceptable/obvious fact.

The ‘Modern’ India is made of the rest of the population economically distributed as 30% -middle class & 10%-rich class.These people make the heart of the nation.Although these people are educated & are blessed with a conductive environment to seek knowledge (considering the fact that almost half of the population is extremely poor),it turns out that majority of the people have very little/nil knowledge of EVOLUTION process & SOUL.

Evolution from cells to humans

The EVOLUTION of Humans & other forms of complex life (including dinosaurs) from  microscopic organisms seems like way too much for modern India.The knowledge of the SOUL which used to be a specialty of ancient Indians or people of Indus Valley Civilization,which was passed from generation on to generation for more than 1000 years;is lost like few grains in a heap of sand.

The problem with majority of ‘Modern’ India lies in their attitude.A modern Indian has somewhere down the line believed that he has to do everything what people of West do in order to be happy (more rightly,boost his ego).He is way too busy in imitating the lifestyle of West to such an extent that his own individuality & uniqueness is lost.This has resulted in hatred towards fellow humans,lack of inner peace & even frustration.
This attitude is mainly due to the fact that we were ruled by English men for nearly two centuries!Another important point to be noted is that People of the West are not to be blamed.

Although we have been free for the past 67 years,I still believe that we are imprisoned in heavy chains of Ignorance,hate,prejudice,caste & sect,issues like Hindu vs Muslim.We somehow find a reason not to love others unconditionally.Its high time the seeds of Forgiveness,compassion & gratitude are sown which will free us from these bonds.Only then will we able to know the real taste of freedom.

Considering the fact that we make around 17% of the world population,it will not only help in the development of our nation,but will affect the collective consciousness of  Humanity as well.

“Let’s rise up & progress together using the most powerful tool of Love.And Love knows only one way–IT GROWS”.

EXTINCTION OF INDUS VALLEY CIVILISATION

The peaceful unfolding of life of this great ancient civilization was rather abruptly interrupted sometime between 1800 & 1500 B.C.E.The cause may have either been a natural disaster or by an invasion or may be both.

Arrival of Aryans-

The invading people were known as Aryans.They came from a northwest direction,from the middle-east of Iran & Tajikistan & invaded the subcontinent.The term ‘Aryan’ designated to people who originally belonged to a region somewhere in Eastern Europe perhaps modern Poland & Ukraine.

Aryans entered India

Aryans were nomadic & pastoral.A warlike & expansionist people,they lived on the spoils of conquest won from the people the subjugated in the course of their migrations.

Features of early Aryans-

Here,we shall compare the salient features of the two civilizations-Indus valley & Aryans.In brief,while the values of Indus valley civilization stressed renunciation,meditation,rebirth,karma & final goal of liberation;the Aryans stressed on ritual sacrifice,loyalty,wealth,this life,progeny,power & heaven.

Thus,it is clear that the sects of religious attitudes ,practices & values professed by these two ancient civilizations of India were almost diametrically opposite to each other.The present Indian society is dominated by the Aryan values.
But there was a  brief period of time,perhaps for two-three centuries,in which Aryans began spreading in the east.This was the time when there was merging of these two civilizations.Hence,the values of Aryans today have been more or less influenced from Indus valley civilization.Everyone in our nation including our surrounding nations such as Nepal,Bangladesh,Bhutan,Pakistan belongs to the Aryan race.
 

ANCIENT INDIA vs MODERN INDIA part I

Thousands of years ago,our animal ancestors left Africa & first moved to Europe.Then they gradually spread to other parts of the Earth.I always had a curiosity to know about the first humans who stepped on the land which we today know as INDIA.What did they believe about their position in Universe?How advanced were they in knowledge of science & soul?My desire was fulfilled one day when I found a research paper on the same issue.

INDUS VALLEY CIVILIZATION-
It is considered to be one of the oldest civilizations of humans;as old as the civilizations of Babylonian & Egypt.It flourished from 3300 to 1800 B.C.E.It extended from what is now south Pakistan in the West to a point near Mumbai in the South to a point near Shimla in the east,near the foothills of Himalayas.

The spread of Indus Valley Civilization (3300-1800 B.C.E.)

If you look at the map of Asia,the geographical spread of Indus Valley civilization was immense.Not only the civilization was stable for more than 1000 years but it was also advanced both materially & spiritually.

SALIENT FEATURES-
Materially,Indus valley civilization was an agrarian economy.They exhibited a great degree of skill  in irrigation & urban planning.There are evidences that they evolved a system of mathematics  based on binary model (the same which is used in modern computing).They even developed a script that remains undeciphered  up to date.

Early Excavations of Mohenjo daro

The paintings & excavations like Mohanjo daro & Harrapa provide many evidences that point towards the spiritual excellence of Indus valley civilization people.Some of them were:
-Meditation or the practice of training the Mind was clearly present.
-Practice of renunciation,that is,abandoning the household life & living the life of ascetic was also common.
-They believed in the concept of rebirth of soul occurring over countless no. of lives.
-A moral responsibility extending beyond this life-that is to say,some form of conception of Karma was also present.
-There was a paramount goal of liberation of soul from endless cycle of birth & death

Although as an Indian student,we came across this topic in grade VI in our history books;but this research is completely different.These were some of the outstanding features of the people of Indus valley Civilization.Something was about to happen which would soon bring this advanced civilization to a point of extinction.

NEWTON MECHANICS vs QUANTUM MECHANICS part II

The mind expanding discovery of Quantum mechanics is that Newtonian laws do not apply to Sub-atomic phenomena.’Quantum’ is a quantity of something.Mechanics is the study of motion.’Quantum Mechanics’ deals with the study of motion of quantities.

Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle-
While Newton’s laws are able to predict the past as well as future outcome of any event in macroscopic world,quantum mechanics deals only with probabilities.We can never be sure about the results.The great Heisenberg laws (x.p>=h/4q) states that,

x refers to position
p refers to momentum

“In sub-atomic realm,we can’t know both position & momentum of a particle with absolute precision.The more we know about one,the less about the other.We can know either of them precisely,but in that case we can know nothing of other.”

Implications of Quantum Mechanics-
The implications of Quantum mechanics are psychedelic!Because it is the nature of things that we must choose which of these 2 properties we want to determine.It is possible that we create something that has position(eg.a particle),because we are intent on determining the position & it is impossible to determine the position without having something occupying the position we want to determine.

Quantum mechanics strikes down the term observer of the Newtonian physics,the man who stands safely behind the glass & watches what goes on outside without taking a part.Man has become a Participator now.Not only we influence our reality,but in some degree we actually create it.

NEWTON MECHANICS vs QUANTUM MECHANICS part I

Newton Mechanics deals with the analysis of motion of macroscopic particles that are visible to eye such as basketball,earth,moon,etc.According to the three laws of motion,we can predict the future as well as past outcome of an event if we are provided with a specific data regarding to that particular event.

Consider an example of a ball moving in a straight line.If we are provided with parameters such as mass of the ball,its initial velocity and friction between ground & surface of ball,we can predict at what time in the future will the ball come to rest.Similarly,we can predict what was the position of ball at any time in the past.
The same laws which govern the motion of a tennis ball are applied to predict the motion of planets & the moon in the cosmos.

Universe as a Great Machine-

Universe was looked upon as a Grand Machine
which has been already pre-programmed.

From the time of Newton till the start of this century,Universe was considered as a Great Machine.During these 300 yrs the approach of the Science was to study how this machine worked.It was believed that man is just an observer who sits behind the glass & watches the world without affecting the results.

If the laws of nature are such that we can predict the future as well as past outcomes-if the universe is really a machine then from the moment the Universe was created,everything that was to happen in it was already predetermined.
According to this Philosophy,we may seem to have a will & ability to alter the course of events in our lives,but we do not.Universe is like a prerecorded tape which is playing itself in the only way it can.

Newton mechanics ruled the stage for three centuries until the eyes of scientists turned from telescope to microscope.Newton mechanics failed to explain the results in Sub-atomic realm.The scientists were now faced with new mysteries of Quantum Mechanics but they needed a different mindset to explain these results.

THEORY OF ELEMENTARY PARTICLES

New Physics:
For approximately three centuries,Newtonian Physics ruled the stage.But the beginning of 20th century marked the dawn of Quantum Mechanics or New Physics.Most people think Quantum Mechanics is way beyond the grasp of man unless you have a crazy scientific brain.But you don’t have to write a research paper or make a new discovery in this field,you only have to understand the basic outlines.

The ideas of new physics when wholly grasped can produce extra-ordinary experiences.The famous relativity theory of Albert Einstein proves that Space & time are mental constructions.Quantum Mechanics shows that there is no ‘external world that lies out there’,Man is embedded in Nature.Each of these different experiences is capable of changing us in such ways that we’ll never again be able to view the world as we did before.

If one would to imagine a baseball to the size of earth,atoms would be like the size of grapes.Earlier it was believed that atoms are indivisible but now we know that atoms can still be broken into Sub-atomic Particles such as neutron,electron & proton.

Theory of Elementary Particles:
Imagine a large city made entirely of bricks.The city is filled with building of all shapes & sizes.Every one of them,streets & roads as well,have been constructed with only few different types of bricks.If we substitute ‘Universe’ for the city & ‘particles’ for bricks,we have the theory of Elementary Particles.

A MASTER WEAVER:
Universe is a pattern(more rightly,patterns) of energy.If we were able to stand behind a master weaver as he begins to work on his loom,we see,at first not cloth but different brightly colored threads from which he picks & chooses with his ‘expert eye’ & feeds into moving shuttle.As we continue to watch,the threads blend one into other,a fabric appears & on the fabric a pattern emerges.In a similar manner,from a limited set of colored threads,he is able to weave out different patterns which finally appear as different colorful clothes.You can see,that master weaver is God/Love/Evolution(Whatever you choose to call it).The entire Universe including the visible physical world is like different patterns of clothes.We all are nothing but elements which were once formed in the core of a burning Star.If you can imagine further backwards,you can reach all the way to Big Bang where everything & everyone,You & I including were ONE.

Once you wake up,
You’ll experience this Love–
The One & Only Supreme.

EARTH-A LIVING CELL

When I wake up from my bed,the first thought that often fills my consciousness is that ‘I am still Alive’.Although it has been nearly 22 yrs of my stay on this Planet but I take this new day as an opportunity to learn more about Earth,Humans,Life as if it is my first day on Earth.
Its still dark & I prepare myself to go for running,something which has become my routine in recent years.As I step out of my home,I witness a few varieties of insects,birds,mammals.When a human crosses my eye,my Mind begins to run taking me back in course of time  around three & half billion years ago,when life first appeared on Earth in depths of Ocean in form of single Cells.But EVOLUTION has brought me to a time when I can see trillions to the power trillions of Cells in a Square feet area of the Planet.I stand in awe at this thought.Then I bring back my mind to focus on running 50 rounds of the Park.

-What is a CELL?
If you look from a microscope into a single cell,you will find that is is made up of several components like DNA,mitochondria,nuclei,centrioles,etc.One single cell is a whole,a totality unto itself & carries within it all that is required to reproduce an entire Human.That means is one of your cells carries all of you.Humans are made up of trillions of cells.Any of those cells has the capability of cloning another whole person.
A single cell is full of life.What holds up this cell?It is something that defies physical explanation & requires going beyond the physical to metaphysical.Wayne Dyer mentions,”That something we describe as the source or serenity,harmony or you can say LOVE”.
Love,in fact,is the agent of Universal synthesis.It is that immeasurable,invisible ingredient that synthesizes & creates the world of form,that is our entire physical world including our bodies.

Now,for a moment,turn the focus from Microscope to Telescope.Think of the entire planet which we live on as a single cell.Well,this brings me to an excerpt from ‘The Lives of a Cell’ by Lewis Thomas:
I have been trying to think of the Earth as a kind of organism,but it is no go.I can’t think of it this way.It is too big,too complex,with too many working parts lacking visible connections.The other night,driving through a hilly wooded part of Southern New England,I wondered about this.If not like an organism,what is it most like?Then,satisfactorily for that moment,it came to me:It is most like a Single cell….Viewed from the distance of the moon,the astonishing thing about the Earth,catching the breath,is that it is Alive.The photographs show the dry,pounded surface of the moon in the foreground,dead as an old bone.Aloft,floating free beneath the moist,gleaming membrane of the bright sky,is the rising Earth,the only exuberant thing in this part of the Cosmos.

If you could look long enough,you would see the swirling of the great drifts of white cloud,covering & uncovering the half-hidden masses of land.If you had been looking for a very long geologic time,you could have seen the continents themselves in motion,drifting apart on their crustal plates,held afloat by the fire beneath.It has the organized,self-contained look of a live creature,full of information,marvelously skilled in handling the Sun.

I am so fantasized by this description that I read it several times & still I’m never satisfied.When you shift your perspective to the enormousness of the entire Universe,Earth just has all the characteristics of a single cell,just like the cell you are,& that cell inside your hand,& the cell within the cell inside your hand,& inward & outward to Infinity.It is all ONE.

SOUL & SUPREME SOUL

SOUL-The characteristic of the soul is Consciousness.We can not observe the soul from our senses.But its presence can be felt from Consciousness.Just as on a cloudy day,we are unable to see the Sun.However,due to the light of the sun,we are sure that it is a day time.Similarly,if there is Consciousness,there is presence of Soul.
This Consciousness is spread through out the body.Everyone is conscious about pain/pleasure of body in part or as a whole.But one’s pleasure/pain is unknown to another person.Hence,each body is an embodiment of an individual Soul.That means innumerable souls residing in different bodies of humans,insects,reptiles,birds,bacteria,etc.

The physical body of a living being undergoes changes over the period of time due to reactions of cells.For eg.A man grows from a child to a boy to an adult to old age & finally dies.However,the nature of soul is permanent.After the death of the body,Soul moves on to next body just as we retire old clothes & put on the new ones.
The Soul is imperishable,immeasurable,eternal,never born & can never die.

SUPREME SOUL-I love when I talk,write or read about the Supreme Soul because I’ve had my share of experience & thus I’m able to relate with it.
The best way to understand is this.Supreme soul is a whole while individual soul is its part.Although quality/nature of the two are same,that is both can never be created nor destroyed,both are eternal & so on but still an individual soul can never be equal to Supreme.For eg.
1 & infinity both are numbers.Although nature of both is same but 1 can never be equal to infinity.Infinity is a whole of which 1 itself is a part.

Supreme soul & Individual soul are compared to two friendly birds sitting on a tree.One of the birds(individual soul) is eating the fruits of tree & the other(Supreme) is simply watching his friend.The soul is struggling very hard on the material body of tree but as soon as he turns its face towards the Supreme,the soul becomes free from all lamentations.

The soul & Supreme soul resides in the heart of every living being.
The individual Soul is  trapped under the endless cycle of birth & death.It is due to the forgetful nature of the soul with the Supreme which is the cause of its changing its position from one body to another.The Soul can only be liberated from this cycle if it can understand its relationship with Supreme.This can only be possible when the Soul is born in Human realm.Humans,alone have the ability to practice & teach Dharma & hence get enlightened to realize the Supreme ‘Self’.
